MESSAGES
When the Lord Didn’t Help You? (Psalms 138:3;7)
The sustenance in moments of greatest affliction:
Psalm 138:
3 On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.
» The Silence of God and Our Affliction
Here we have the psalmist speaking about a need—perhaps an extreme one—that he was experiencing at that moment.
How many times do we also face situations in our lives where it seems the Lord is not paying attention to our prayer and our cry?
The door does not open, the healing does not come, the answer does not arrive, and the miracle does not happen.
It is natural to feel sad and bitter when situations like these occur.
» God’s Silent Work and Fatherly Care
However, we must consider that the fact that God’s answer is not exactly what we desire—or does not come in our timing—does not mean He is not listening or that He is ignoring our request.
How many times, right after hearing your cry, God is already building a new scenario?
He works so that you may reach something far greater than what you are asking for.
It is like a father teaching his child to ride a bicycle. He helps, pushes, and holds, but at a certain moment he lets go.
When he lets go, it is not out of neglect; it is because the child needs to develop confidence to ride alone and walk with their own steps.
God is teaching you, holding you, and leading you toward something extraordinary that you cannot yet imagine.
» A Greater Purpose: The Glory of God
God is always interested in blessing us and doing something that brings His glory into our lives.
Remember Lazarus: he was sick, his sisters sent word to Jesus, but the Lord did not go immediately because He knew that the sickness would end in the glory of God.
Lazarus even died, but the miracle of resurrection was far greater than the simple healing people expected.
The glory of God manifested in a much greater way, proving that He is a God of power and that for Him there are no limits or barriers.
» Believe in the Greatness of Your Blessing
Therefore, keep believing that God will help you, that He is with you, and that He will never abandon you.
He is simply preparing the best moment for you to reach something much greater and far more solid.
If the Lord has not yet sent the answer in the way you expected, know that there is a great purpose behind it.
Believe firmly that the glory of the latter house will be greater than the former. Trust that the blessing God has prepared for you is far greater than anything you can imagine!
