MESSAGES
Spirit and Life (John 6:63)
Jesus spoke about the true source of life and the danger of spiritual shallowness:
John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
» The Offense of Spiritual Depth
Here we see Jesus speaking to His disciples and the crowd about profound truths regarding our need to be nourished by Him.
When they heard these things, many were offended and left Him.
The Lord then declares that it is the Spirit who gives life, and the flesh is of no benefit.
We need to understand that spiritual things come from above, and that the spiritual realm influences our natural world.
Our actions today have an impact in the spiritual realm, bringing either blessings or curses, salvation or death.
» The Need for a Consecrated Life
Understand the heart of what Jesus taught: there is a vital need for us to feed on the Lord, to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit, and to maintain a truly consecrated life.
Only then will we be made alive by God's power so that, on the appointed day, we may be saved and live forever by His side, in a place where our struggles and battles will no longer exist, because the Lord will make all things new.
» The Danger of Spiritual Shallowness
Be very careful, because the world has consumed a large part of the people who attend churches today.
Many are losing the spiritual depth needed to have fellowship with God.
Deception and lies have taken hold of this generation; Satan has deceived lives, hardened minds, and misled hearts.
Jesus clearly warned us that His words are spirit and life. In other words, it is the Word of Christ in us that produces eternal life!
» Let the Spirit Give You Life
May you keep this truth deep within your heart and recognize that change is necessary.
It is absolutely essential that we be strengthened by the Holy Spirit.
A cold and shallow spiritual life will never reach the heart of God.
The Lord does not want you to be lost, and perhaps that is exactly why He is speaking to your heart today.
Go deeper into the Word and let the Holy Spirit bring life to your life!
