For the Just, All Will Be Well (Isaiah 3:10-11)
One of the most encouraging—and at the same time confronting—truths of God’s Word concerns the righteous reward for our actions.
Isaiah 3:
10 Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.
11 Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have dealt out shall be done to him.
» The Harvest and the Reward
Here we see God speaking through the prophet Isaiah about the need to remain faithful to His Word and His will. Those who practice righteousness will surely be honored by the Lord. The works of our hands in this world will never fail to receive their due reward.
The one who remains firm and stays in the presence of God will inherit eternal life, exactly as He promised.
On the other hand, the Word brings a severe warning. The one who is unjust, wicked, who practices abominations and is unfaithful to God, will also reap exactly what he has sown.
The payment of his own hands will be the fruit of God’s wrath, resulting in punishment and eternal separation.
» Reflecting the Character of the Father
Therefore, remain faithful and practice righteousness, because our God is righteous. Be holy, because our God is holy. Be faithful, because our God is faithful.
As children, we were created to resemble our Father, carrying in our hearts the love for righteousness and the deep desire to be in His presence—both today, through a life of prayer and continual seeking, and on the day of our salvation.
» The Difference Between the Righteous and the Wicked
Always pay attention to everything God desires from you. As the Word instructs, do not turn to the right or to the left, so that you may be rewarded for your good works and for the fruit of your actions, based on your love and faithfulness to the Lord.
Never forget that one day you will clearly see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not, just as the Lord revealed to us in the book of the prophet Malachi.
Malachi 3:18 Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.
Persevere and keep your faith, so that on the final day of your life, you may hear the sweet voice of the Lord and be called blessed of our Father!
