You will find it (Jeremiah 29:12-13)
I believe that one of the deepest truths about prayer and our communion with God is recorded in the book of Jeremiah, showing the Lord’s clear intention that we seek Him.
Jeremiah 29:
12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.
13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
» The Condition for Finding God
Here we see God giving us a clear and objective word of guidance. This is an important truth to remember: when God speaks, His words become law. There is a truth that often prevents people from reaching God and having their prayers answered: it is useless to seek the Lord if it is not with all our heart.
» Genuine Prayer in the Secret Place
When we seek God in prayer, we are actually talking with Him.
Jesus Himself taught us to enter the secret place of our room and speak with God in private, for there He will hear us and speak to us.
God’s intention is that we seek Him intimately and personally.
Unfortunately, we often see people who, when seeking God, are only repeating empty words that do not come from the heart.
When we seek God sincerely, we feel the desire to worship Him, to declare how important He is, and to express our longing and love for Him.
If you seek Him only to ask for something — protection, wisdom, or intercession — without any pure feeling or faith that He is listening, your prayer loses its true purpose.
» The Faithfulness of God’s Word
Do not forget that our God does not lie and will never fail to fulfill His Word.
If you do not seek Him with all your heart, the truth is that you will not find Him.
God will not break His own rule just because we think we deserve it.
His love for us has already been clearly established and proven through the coming of Jesus.
Jesus came to rescue a humanity lost in its sins and to restore the connection, reconnecting us to God exactly as the Lord always desired for our lives.
» The Habit of True Communion
Therefore, do not be deceived. Seek the Lord in prayer with an attitude of worship.
In your prayer, may you be able to worship God first, and only then speak to Him about your needs, feelings, struggles, plans, and intercede for those you love.
This is how He will hear you, and you will also hear His voice bringing comfort, joy, and peace.
Many times, when we enter this wonderful presence, we cry — not out of sadness, but out of awe and gratitude. We cry when we realize that, despite our flaws and weaknesses, God has mercy on us, turns His face toward us, and hears us when we cry out with a whole heart.
Make it a habit to seek God in this way. Surely, He will reveal Himself to you in a lasting and surprising way.
The greatest answer to your prayer will be His constant presence in your life, bringing the joy of having the Lord as the true owner and provider of everything you need.
