Faith Comes From Hearing (Romans 10:17)

Paul revealed to us in his letter to the church in Rome something extremely important for our journey: our faith is not static; it grows, is fed, and gets stronger as we listen to the Word of God.

Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

The more we meditate on the Scriptures, the more our eyes are opened to see the truth of what God has already done, what He is doing, and what He will still do in this world.

» The Revelation of the Holy Spirit

Through His Holy Spirit, God reveals deep mysteries to anyone who reads, meditates, and longs for the knowledge of the Word of God.

Often, when we read the Bible, the Holy Spirit brings to mind past situations in our lives, and we realize that God was already working there — even in the times of our ignorance, our lack of faith, and our lack of knowledge about Him.

The truth is that whoever doesn't know the Word of God and has no intimacy with Jesus, the Son of God, cannot develop faith in the size and intensity that the Lord desires.

» The Power of Ministering the Word

Our faith is expressed when we start to minister the Word of God to our own lives, to the circumstances around us, and even to the spiritual realm.

Every time we declare the Word of God, we apply it to ourselves, taking hold of His wonderful promises, and we also minister it against our enemy, who is forced to submit to what God has written.

Nothing is more powerful in this world than the Word of God! It rules the universe and will continue to act sovereignly because, as Jesus Himself guaranteed, the world will not pass away until all the Word is fulfilled.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

» Much More Than Just Believing

It is important to point out that just believing that God and Jesus exist is not enough for a victorious life. Scripture itself warns us in James 2:19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!

So, may you increase your faith by doing what is necessary for it to be increased: knowing the Word of God.

Therefore, dedicate yourself and make an effort to know the Word of God. Do this so that your faith reaches the size that God desires.

With robust faith, you will be able to face life's adversities full of hope, convinced that victory is certain for the one who believes and acts according to what they believe.

» Fill Yourself with Peace and Joy

By seeking this knowledge, you will be filled with joy and peace. You will start moving with the authority that the Lord has already delegated to you, leaning on the words of blessing, the warnings, and the teachings He left us to live in a spiritually healthy way in this world.

We must live like this until the day we finally meet Jesus, our Lord and Savior — the One who brought the good news and left us the Gospels so that we could know Him deeply and live according to true faith!
