Creatures of God or Children of God? (Genesis 2:7)

When God created man, the Bible says He breathed the breath (spirit) of life into Adam's nostrils, and from that moment on, man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:7 then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

We know that there is no life unless God sends the spirit of life — and only He has the authority to do so.

Acts 17:25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.

The so-called “gift of life” belongs exclusively to God. When a life is conceived and born from a woman's womb, it becomes a CREATURE (creation) OF GOD, sent into the world with a purpose — whatever it may be.

But simply being born doesn't automatically make anyone a CHILD OF GOD, because, as Scripture says: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23).

Through Jesus' sacrifice, we receive the grace to be reconnected to God, becoming CHILDREN OF GOD. In Christ, the death sentence caused by sin was canceled, because “the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7).

Jesus' death and resurrection gave us victory over the curse of death — death was defeated and wiped out on the cross.

1 Corinthians 15:55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

Romans 3:24-26 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

But you need to understand that there is a huge difference between being a CREATURE OF GOD and being a CHILD OF GOD. According to the Bible, to be considered children of God, we must receive Jesus as Lord and Savior — and not just with words, but with actions.

John 1:12-13 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

The child of God is free from sin.
The creature of God is a slave to sin.

The child of God has the right to the promises of blessings.
The creature of God is subject to curses.

The child of God has the right to an eternal inheritance.
The creature of God falls short of glory and will be banished from God's presence.

The child of God will receive eternal life.
The creature will receive eternal death.

If you haven't TRULY given your life to Jesus yet, this is the time. Don't put it off any longer. Do it right now and BECOME A CHILD OF GOD. Then you will receive the care of the FATHER, who loves you, wants to bless you, and wants to be increasingly involved in your life.
