God Created the Heavens and the Earth (Genesis 1:1)

Believing in God or having faith in God is the beginning of a life without illusions and deceptions.

Perhaps, deep down in your heart, you have the following doubts:

• Does God really exist?
• Did God really create the universe, or was it a big bang as scientists say?
• Does the Bible reveal the truth?

The Bible says:

Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

BY FAITH WE BELIEVE THAT EVERYTHING WE SEE WAS NOT CREATED BY WHAT WE SEE.

That is, we believe that God, our creator, made all things. We also believe that God did not need anything to exist to create everything in the universe, because God is not like man, who actually instead of creating, transforms one thing into another.

We cannot fail to talk about the first verse of the Bible, which says:

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

The word BEGINNING comes from the Hebrew “Bereshit”, which means: Beginning of time, Start of everything, and the word CREATED comes from the Hebrew “Bara” and means: To create out of nothing.

But God goes far beyond creation; He cares for what He created:

Nehemiah 9:6 You are the LORD, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you PRESERVE all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.

If you still have doubts about this, just look around you and realize that the whole world is under God's control, moved by His Word, regardless of what it may seem.

Because of sin, man's estrangement from God, and his disobedience, humanity seems to be out of control, but it is not:

Isaiah 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and they who dwell in it will die in like manner; but my salvation will be forever, and my righteousness will never be dismayed.

Remember that thousands of years ago, the action of God, who controls everything, wiped man from the face of the earth, leaving only Noah's family, because he was a righteous man:

Genesis 7:23 He blotted out every living thing that was on the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens. They were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark.

Very soon, God's control over humanity will be evidenced once again through Jesus, bringing the reward for sin and for man's contempt toward God, which is CONDEMNATION TO ETERNAL DEATH, and the reward for those who are obedient and faithful to God, which is ETERNAL LIFE.

CHOOSE LIFE, as God has suggested to us:

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.
